koala bushlands
today i went to the koala bushlands. it was pretty easy to get there, three different buses took me a little over an hour. i had read about this place online and it said you can actually see the koalas in the wild here. so i was excited!
i do wanna see them in the wild as well as in the parks. in the wild is more cool, cause then you feel like it's real, you know. any park can buy a koala, but in the wild, then you're like: yeah, i really AM in australia :)
well, i didn't see a koala. the koala centre in the park that was supposed to offer koala spotting tours has been shut down since july last year for reconstruction. that, they didn't say on the internet.
anyways, i had no idea what to do next. they had a variety of trails you could do, one said to have wild animals along it. but that trail was gonna take 3,5 hours. and me, my knucklehead, had forgotten to bring water.
yes. i had pretty much everything else, or so i must have had, cause my bag weighed like a ton.
but water, no. not a single drop. for a while i thought i should just do the 3,5 hour trail and drink my own pee if i had to.
no jk. i wasn't in the mood to walk for 3,5 hours, water or no water.
the place was gorgoeus though! smelled so fresh, was green and beautiful. it's like a big park and forest surrounding it. really really peaceful and energizing.
i also did see three kangaroos. they're my favs! i have a lot of favs i've realized. i think i pretty much write that about every animal i post a pic of here, don't i?
i only stayed in the park for like an hour. i'll probably go back another day, with water, and do the long trail.
well, here comes some pics from that little adventure!
